SAMINDURA(Deep sorrow))

Poem lied for marimba and orchestra.
Work composed on the wake of the flooding of 26th August 1983.
The following day, Donato Goyeneche composed a poem for marimba. Later on Tomás Aragüés made the arrangements for marimba and symphonic orchestra. The work was premiered by the symphonic orchestra of the music conservatory of San Sebastián (Spain) in September 1984.
This composition means to reflect the great sorrow caused by a tragedy which leaves death and grief in its wake.
As it is not a work of great difficulty, it is ideal also for orchestras of music conservatories to be performed.

Recorded at a live concert by the symphonic orchestra of the conservatory
